Sulzer has introduced  a new line of macerator grinders  which designed for pumping, mixing and processing of sludge in the biological treatment process, as well as secondary anaerobic treatment and recycling.
Sulzer Macerators guarantee the prevention of obstruction and occlusion of the pipeline that reduce the number of unplanned downtime.
There are two variants of grinders: with the channel and pipeline installation.
Due to twin shafts, slow speed and high torque the grinders provide positive displacement solids grinding.
The shafts rotate have different speeds, from 50 to 80 rpm and hardened cutters provide solids grinding.
The cutter shafts are angled, the slope of the cutters ensures any rejected material drops clear of shafts and cutters, preventing damage.
Set directly on the pipeline provides quick removal of moving parts and the possibility of maintenance in place.
Sulzer macerators are available in three standard variants of the composition of performance: cast iron, stainless steel or bronze alloy. For complete equipment motors are possible the following sizes: 1,5, 2,2 and 4,0 kW.
Performance the Pipeline macerators - up to 440 m3/h, the Channel - up to 1150 m3/h for extra hi-flow models.
