South-Ural water intake project

The reconstruction of the South-Ural water intake project has been developed since 2005. Its implementation involved the reconstruction of two water intakes, the building for the disinfection, the pumping station of the second rise with an increase in its performance, the construction of new water treatment plant consisting of: a building for the reagent treatment of fresh water, a unit of clarifiers and sand filters, a building for the treatment of wash water and sediment. Under a contract with TAHAL Consulting Engineers Ltd, GSP-Project Ltd company supplied Sulzer Scaba agitators for the clarifier unit. Scaba agitators are the most modern process solution that ensures the environmental safety of water intake and increases the energy efficiency of the process. Four water intakes with a total capacity of 200 thousand cubic meters per day will provide water to Orenburg city after the reconstruction of the South Ural water intake.
